A Brief History
Situated at the southern end of Helensville’s old ‘golden mile’, a Barber shop & billiard saloon ran for many years in the 20th century. This historic site has metamorphosed into the gallery we see today, Te Shed.
The studio gallery has been created by Artist Laura Schiessel. Helensville now has a quality dealer gallery servicing both local and national artists.
Our first major exhibition was the first of a series of single artist & group exhibitions planned for the gallery in the coming years. The first curated exhibition by the gallery is 24 CARAT RUST. Three artists sharing an affinity with the living and transforming properties of rust have come together to create this contemporary exhibition.
